After a long leave of absence, I decided to come back to deviantArt. As I do most of my drawing on my phone now, I thought I would try the app. I got confused, so I went to the site, and everything was different, and I got confused. I wasn't sure if my watchers were getting notifications because I went to change something small in a deviations info, and saw this unchecked "Notify Viewers" box.
So, if anybody got multiple notifications for the same deviation, please accept my humble apologies.

I haven't logged in for over a year. I have 153 Deviations from people I watch to look at, 18 journal posts to read, and only 8 feedback posts. I think I'll go crawl back under a rock.

I made a little challenge for myself to keep myself drawing frequently and get more practice. I selected a profile picture from my Facebook friends and drew it, and then let them select who's profile picture to draw next, and so on. I'm hoping to do at least one a month. 
Here is the first one I did in June.
And this one covers the month of July.

I have come up with a fun game to play, where I sell the first sketch for a dollar, then raise the price by a dollar each time the number of requests equals the current dollar value. So, the first person gets a sketch for a dollar, and then next two each pay two dollars, the next three go for $3 a piece, and so on. I want to see how high I can get this to go. I know it sounds confusing, but if you look at the list, it makes more sense.

We recently bought a house and moved just before Christmas. Sure, it was hectic, and one of the first things we unpacked was the tree and decorations, but I was glad to spend Christmas in our new home. I'm really loving the extra space, where the kids can each have their own rooms and a place to play aside from the living room. Things have settled down a bit, and I finally unpacked my wacom, so hopefully I will find some time to draw, now that my oldest seems to be getting used to the new school.
As a result of moving, I've had to go through mysterious boxes of random stuff that time forgot, and found some of my old artwork, on actual PAPER! Most of these date back about fifteen years, give or take. So, if anybody is curious as to how much my skills have changed, have a look here.
